Sheldon mailbox vandalized overnight, police seek information

SHELDON — An act of unlawful mischief left a resident’s mailbox damaged beyond repair, Vermont State Police reported on May 18.

Authorities received a call at 11:57 a.m. from a homeowner on Duffy Hill Rd. near Bailey Dr. who discovered their mailbox had been vandalized.

The incident is believed to have occurred between the evening of May 17 and the morning of May 18.

The perpetrator remains unknown, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for the property damage.
