Putney man arrested on DUI #2 charges after erratic driving

PUTNEY — A Putney man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after Vermont State Police received reports of a vehicle being operated erratically on US-5 South on May 19.

Benjamin W. Jerome-Lee, 32, was apprehended by troopers following multiple calls about his driving behavior that began in Bellows Falls, continued through Westminster, and onto Interstate 91 South.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m.

Upon locating Jerome-Lee and his vehicle on Phineas White Lane in Putney, troopers noted signs of impairment.

Jerome-Lee was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police – Westminster Barracks for processing.

After the processing, Jerome-Lee was released to a sober adult and issued a citation.

He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on June 25 to face DUI charges.

This marks Jerome-Lee’s second DUI offense.
