BROOKLINE — At approximately 5:38 a.m. on May 20, Brookline Police officers responded to a report of a body floating in the Brookline Reservoir.

Upon arrival, the person was retrieved from the water, and first responders immediately began CPR efforts.

The individual was quickly transported to Beth Israel Hospital where they were subsequently pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigations indicate there were no obvious signs of suspicious activity surrounding the incident.

Authorities have not released any information regarding the identity of the deceased, as family notifications are still pending.

The Brookline Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances of the death and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
