BRIDGEPORT — Multiple shots rang out late Thursday night, leading to two teenagers being injured, one critically, in what appears to be a series of related shooting incidents, according to police.

On May 17, at approximately 10:25 p.m., the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received reports of over 20 rounds fired within the 300 block of Bunnell Street.

About 20 minutes later, Bridgeport Police were alerted by ShotSpotter activations to gunfire in the 100 block of Sixth Street, roughly two blocks from the initial location.

As the situation unfolded, authorities were informed of a victim shot within the 200 block of Deacon Street, just one block from Bunnell Street.

Responding officers found a large gathering on Bunnell Street and discovered a 15-year-old Bridgeport teenager with a gunshot wound on the porch of a Deacon Street residence.

The teen was transported by AMR Ambulance to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.

During the investigation at Deacon Street, a 16-year-old Bridgeport teenager arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot, which was determined to be non-life-threatening.

Police believe both shootings are connected to a large house party on Bunnell Street that occurred prior to the incidents.

The Detective Bureau has taken over the case, designated as Detective Bureau Case No. 24D-0676.

Crime scenes were established and secured on Bunnell Street, Deacon Street, Holly Street, and Sixth Street.

The Forensic Identification Unit processed these sites, gathering multiple pieces of evidence.

Detectives have conducted several interviews, canvassed the neighborhood, and continue to piece together the events of the night.
