Bradford man arrested on domestic assault, unlawful restraint charges

BRADFORD — A local man was arrested Thursday on accusations of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and unlawful restraint, according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a Bradford residence at 11:49 a.m. where they discovered that 22-year-old Andre Town allegedly assaulted a 26-year-old household member, inflicting pain.

Following the investigation, Town was taken into custody.

He is being held without bail pending further legal proceedings.

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by authorities, adhering to privacy policies for victims of domestic violence.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
