MANCHESTER — A second arrest has been made in connection with a shooting that occurred on the corner of Cedar and Lincoln Streets, Manchester Police announced today.

Xavier Rodriguez, a 21-year-old resident of Allenstown, was arrested on charges of False Report to Law Enforcement and Falsifying Physical Evidence related to the May 13 incident.

Police say that during the course of their investigation, they discovered Rodriguez had been dishonest about his involvement.

The initial response by Manchester Police to the scene came after reports of shots fired and a male in a silver SUV fleeing after allegedly shooting at two people.

Following the identification of those involved, 23-year-old D’Andre Antonio Sabala of Manchester was apprehended and charged with First Degree Assault, Reckless Conduct, Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon, and Breach of Bail.

Rodriguez turned himself into Manchester Police on May 16.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as detectives work to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
