WATERFORD — Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a theft at a local Best Buy on May 9.

The individual reportedly selected a Dyson vacuum, valued at $640, and left the store without paying for it.

The suspect was seen departing in a Nissan Rogue, but the license plate on the vehicle was registered to a different car, which had been reported stolen.

Consequently, the plate does not match the vehicle in question.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspect or the whereabouts of the Nissan Rogue to contact Officer Barrows at [email protected] or by phone at 860-442-9451 ext. 2267.

The public can also send a private message to the Waterford Police Department through their official communication channels.
