WESTBOROUGH — Members of the Westborough Police Department’s evening shift responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 9 westbound earlier tonight, where a car lost control and veered off the road.
The incident occurred when the vehicle, for reasons not yet fully determined, went off the roadway to the right and came to a stop on Computer Drive.
The two occupants of the vehicle were fortunate to escape without serious injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that excessive speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
Authorities are reminding drivers to adhere to speed limits and drive cautiously, emphasizing that the outcome of this incident could have been much worse.
