Nashua man arrested for stabbing near Baldwin Street Bridge

NASHUA — A 42-year-old man was arrested for first degree assault after allegedly stabbing another man during an argument near the Veterans Memorial Parkway, police said.

Nashua Police Department officers responded on May 15 to reports of a male claiming to have stabbed someone close to the Baldwin Street Bridge.

Upon arriving at the scene, they made contact with Benjamin Wynn, who has no fixed address, and who admitted to engaging in an altercation with an unknown male and subsequently stabbing him with a pocket knife.

The 28-year-old victim, also from Nashua, was transported to a Boston area hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division, Wynn was charged with First Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a Class A Felony.

He was held on Preventative Detention and taken to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester.

Wynn is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on May 16 at 1 p.m.
