1 min read

AUGUSTA — The Maine State Police announced today that Whitney Frew, who had been missing since mid-April, has been safely located.

Frew, born on Dec. 9, 1994, was reported missing by her husband after family and friends did not hear from her since April 15, which was out of character for her.

The last known contact with Frew was on April 30 when the South Portland Police Department transported her to Maine Medical Center.

Following her departure from the hospital, there had been no sightings or communication from her, raising concerns about her safety.

Authorities believed Frew might have been in York or Cumberland County, likely in the area between Parsonsfield and Portland.

She was described as 5 feet tall, 110 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes.

The Maine State Police thanked the public for their assistance in the search for Frew and provided no further details on the circumstances of her discovery.

With Frew’s safe return, the search has come to an end.
