BOURNE — At approximately 9:35 a.m., the Bourne Police Department was called to a residential complex on High Meadow Circle after reports of a disturbance involving an individual.

In the interest of transparency, the department shared limited information about the incident, citing legal constraints on disclosing specifics.

The situation escalated to a point where the involvement of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council SWAT team was deemed necessary for a peaceful resolution.

The Bourne Police and CCRLEC Crisis Negotiation Team worked in tandem to de-escalate the incident.

Their efforts resulted in the successful and safe transportation of the individual to a local hospital for appropriate care.

No injuries were reported among the individual or the officers involved.

The police statement emphasized the confidentiality of certain incidents under Massachusetts law, which limits the details that can be publicly shared by law enforcement.
