West Fairlee woman faces charges for threats, false 911 calls

WEST FAIRLEE — A local woman was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly making threats and placing multiple false 911 calls, according to Vermont State Police.

Heather Whipple, 31, of West Fairlee, was taken into custody at 7:45 a.m. after authorities responded to reports of criminal threatening and disorderly conduct through electronic means.

Investigators say Whipple made several threats of violence and repeatedly contacted emergency services without legitimate reasons.

The nature of the threats has not been disclosed.

Following her arrest, Whipple was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Criminal Court to respond to charges of criminal threatening, false reports to law enforcement officers, and disorderly conduct via electronic means.

Officials have not provided further details about the incident as the investigation is ongoing.

Whipple’s court date has not been announced.
