Two arrested following Manchester incident, police remain on scene

MANCHESTER — Two men were arrested Saturday in connection with an incident that prompted police activity at 55 S. Main St., authorities said.

Jamal Barnwell, 40, of Brooklyn, N.Y., is facing charges of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and criminal restraint, Manchester police reported.

Neil Pineda Landaverde, 36, of Manchester, was also taken into custody and charged with criminal restraint and resisting arrest.

The situation is reported to be contained, but officers continue to investigate at the scene.

Authorities have not released additional details about the nature of the incident but have indicated that further information will be provided when it is appropriate.
