Traffic stop in Medway leads to drug arrest

EAST MILLINOCKET — On Saturday, May 11, Sgt. Gee of the East Millinocket Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Pattagumpus Road in Medway.

The operator of the vehicle, identified as Jules Michaud, 40, of Mattawamkeag, was subsequently investigated.

A K-9 unit from the Maine State Police was requested to assist with the stop.

Upon arrival, the K-9 alerted officers to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.

A search revealed multiple substances including methamphetamine, suspected heroin/fentanyl, suboxone, and various illegally possessed medications.

Michaud was arrested and charged with nine counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

Sgt. Gee was assisted by Officer Hallett, Officer Scelso, and the Maine State Police.
