Montpelier police arrest Barre City woman for violating release conditions

MONTPELIER — A Barre City woman was arrested by Montpelier police on May 5 at 6:24 p.m. for violating her conditions of release.

Sergeant Benjamin Michaud observed the 35-year-old woman purchasing alcoholic beverages at a convenience store on Berlin Street, a violation of her court-ordered conditions that prohibit such actions.

The officer later saw her in possession of and consuming alcoholic beverages at the Transit Center on Taylor Street.

The woman was arrested for the violation following the investigation, which confirmed the breach of her release conditions.

Police have not released the name of the suspect at this time.
