Tewksbury police arrest two in firearm possession and conspiracy case

TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested two people with possession of firearms and conspiracy.

Sheldon Marryshow, age 22, of West Hempstead, N.Y., was arrested and charged with the following:
– Commission of a felony while armed
– Carrying firearm without a license
– Possession of ammunition without an FID card
– Conspiracy
– Armed assault with intent to commit robbery

Jose Pichardo, age 27, of Dracut, was arrested and charged with the following:
– Commission of a felony while armed
– Carrying firearm without a license
– Conspiracy
– Armed assault with intent to commit robbery
– Assault with a dangerous weapon
– Possession of ammunition without an FID card
– Threat to commit crime
– Extortion

On Saturday, May 11, at approximately 7:38 a.m., Tewksbury Police responded to an apartment complex on Archstone Avenue for a report of someone being threatened with a firearm via phone and video calls.

Through a preliminary investigation, officers located two individuals, Marryshow and Pichardo, who had arrived on scene.

During a search, officers located a 9mm handgun and a phone that was used to make the threatening calls.

Neither Marryshow nor Pichardo have a license to carry a firearm.

Marryshow and Pichardo were arrested without incident.

This was not a random act and all three individuals, including the 911 caller, were known to each other.

Marryshow and Pichardo are scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday.
