Randolph, MA police search for second suspect in armed robbery

RANDOLPH — Chief Anthony Marag reports that the Randolph Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery and is currently searching for a suspect in the area of Johnson Drive.

Residents may notice a large police presence in the area while the search and investigation are ongoing.

On Monday, May 13 at approximately 1:20 p.m., Randolph Police responded to the area of Johnson Drive for a report of an armed robbery where two suspects allegedly robbed a person in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

One suspect, an 18-year-old Malden man, was taken into custody by Randolph Police following a foot pursuit.

The suspect allegedly stole jewelry and a cell phone from the victim.

A second suspect fled on foot into the area of the town dump, which abuts Route 24.

The Massachusetts State Police Air Wing is assisting Randolph Police as they continue to search for the second suspect.

Residents in the area are asked to call Randolph Police at 781-963-1212 if they notice any suspicious activity.
