SPRINGFIELD — Officers from the Springfield Police Department arrested Lucas Fournier on charges of unlawful trespass and disorderly conduct at a McDonald’s on Chester Road on the evening of May 7.

At approximately 8:12 p.m., police were dispatched to the fast-food restaurant after receiving reports that a man, later identified as Fournier, appeared to be homeless and was begging patrons for food or money.

When ignored, the man allegedly began yelling at those who did not assist him.

Upon arrival, officers found Fournier heavily intoxicated and yelling racial slurs.

He refused to leave the McDonald’s property despite being asked to do so.

Fournier was taken into custody without incident and was issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on July 2 to face the charges.

Due to his level of intoxication, Fournier was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility until sober.
