RUTLAND — Benjamin Hubbard, the 30-year-old Rutland man reported missing since January, has been found safe, Vermont State Police announced Sunday morning.

Hubbard, who had last contacted his family in South Carolina over four months ago, voluntarily took time away for personal growth and self-care.

The details of his whereabouts during the months of no communication have not been disclosed, but authorities confirmed that he is unharmed.

The Vermont State Police extended their gratitude to the public for their aid in the search for Hubbard.

The initial alert was issued on Saturday, May 11, at 12:51 p.m., after family members expressed deep concern for his welfare given the extended period of silence.
