LYNDON — Two juveniles from Lyndon and East Burke were cited for unlawful mischief and petit larceny from a dwelling after an incident at a local encampment, Vermont State Police reported.

At approximately 5:21 p.m. on May 6, Troopers responded to a call from Andre Deos, 72, of Lyndon, who reported stolen and destroyed property at his residence on the intersection of Cold Hill Road and Grimes Road.

Upon arrival, Troopers discovered forced entry with several items missing or damaged.

The investigation revealed that two weeks prior, the juveniles had visited the encampment and admitted to stealing various items.

Some of the stolen goods were later found at one of the juvenile’s homes and were returned to Deos.

The juveniles, whose names have not been released due to their age, are scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Family Court on June 20 at noon to face the charges.
