1 min read

SPRINGFIELD — A woman was taken into custody late Thursday night after Springfield Police responded to a trespassing report at Black Rock Steak House and discovered an active arrest warrant for her from another state.

Amber White was arrested at about 11:18 p.m. on River Street by Officer Harrington of the Chester Police Department, who was assisting Springfield officers with the search.

The trespassing incident occurred earlier that evening, but White had left the scene before officers arrived.

Springfield Dispatch confirmed that White had an extraditable arrest warrant issued by Sullivan County, New Hampshire.

After her arrest, White was processed at the Springfield Police Department.

White was given a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on April 29 at 12:30 p.m. on the charge of being a fugitive from justice.

She was subsequently lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility pending bail, a decision made by the judiciary, not the police.
