Sullivan County police seek public help to locate man wanted for animal cruelty, threats

NEWPORT, NH — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating James Jones, a man wanted on multiple charges including animal cruelty and criminal threatening.

According to the department, Jones is facing two counts of Cruelty to Animals, and one count of Criminal Threatening.

Despite diligent efforts to locate and apprehend him, officials have so far been unsuccessful.

The police have not released details of the incidents that led to the charges against Jones but emphasized the seriousness of the offenses.

They are now reaching out to community members for any information that could lead to his capture.
