ST. ALBANS — A local woman was arrested Wednesday after a spree of thefts from multiple businesses in St. Albans City, including the Beverage Mart and Family Dollar.

St. Albans Police Department identified Stephanie Dugan, 40, as the suspect in the theft of two bottles of liquor from Beverage Mart on May 9, valued at over $257.

The incidents occurred within a 24-hour period, and Dugan had previously been issued a notice of trespass for the property after an earlier theft.

Later the same day, officers located Dugan exiting Family Dollar, where she was found with stolen items from the store.

She had also been trespassed from this location prior to the incident.

Dugan was arrested for possession of stolen property and continuation of criminal behavior.

Upon her appearance at Franklin County Criminal Court, it was revealed that she had been cited the previous day for another theft involving a tip jar from Red House Sweets.

The court issued conditions of release for Dugan, including a mandate to stay away from the businesses she had targeted.

She is facing approximately twenty pending charges related to theft and trespassing in St. Albans City.
