Orwell woman charged with fraudulent credit card use

BRIDPORT — In an ongoing investigation, Vermont State Police detectives reported that Jenny Blair, 55, from Orwell, has been charged with fraudulently using a credit/debit card of a deceased individual.

Detectives from the New Haven Barracks of the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations began probing the allegations on April 1, after being alerted to the suspicious transactions.

Blair allegedly made purchases totaling $178.76 with the card in question, acquiring various products.

Following the comprehensive investigation, authorities issued Blair a citation on May 9.

She is slated to appear in the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on July 15 to face charges related to the fraudulent activity.
