Lincoln police report black bear sightings near residential areas

LINCOLN — A black bear has been sighted north of Trapelo Road, causing concern among residents in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The Lincoln Police Department issued a warning after the bear was seen in the areas of Lexington Road, Page Road, and Old County Road.

Authorities are urging the public to bring any potential food sources indoors, including pet food, bird feeders, and trash receptacles, to avoid attracting the bear.

Residents walking dogs and those exercising outside are advised to exercise caution.
