Springfield police arrest two on drug charges after traffic stop

SPRINGFIELD — Two men were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop near a residence known for drug activity, Springfield Police Department officials said Wednesday.

Officers pulled over a vehicle at 1:15 p.m. on April 11 for a traffic violation.

The investigation led to the discovery of narcotics in the possession of both passengers, identified as William Garrow Jr. and Joshua Lescord.

According to the police, Garrow and Lescord were taken to the Springfield Police Department for processing.

Garrow received a criminal citation for possession of heroin, while Lescord was cited for possession of heroin and cocaine.

Both are set to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, at 8 a.m. on June 25.

Cpl. Perkins, Ofc. Singleton, Chief Burnham, and Ofc. Franchi of the Weathersfield Police Department were involved in the investigation.
