SOUTH HERO — The Vermont State Police are investigating after two men were found dead Thursday outside a residence on Kibbe Farm Road. Authorities were alerted to the situation around 11:30 a.m. following a 911 call.

The victims, aged 68 and 35, were declared deceased at the scene. Initial findings suggest the incident was isolated and involved acquaintances. The area has been declared safe with no ongoing threat to the public.

The scene is currently secured for evidence collection, and autopsies will be performed at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington to ascertain the identities and causes of death. The investigation, led by the VSP Major Crime Unit and supported by the Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department, is still in preliminary stages.

State police are urging anyone with information to contact the St. Albans Barracks. Public Information Officer Adam Silverman will provide further details in an on-camera briefing scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the South Hero Volunteer Fire Department.
