Somerset Police seek suspect in Home Depot theft and return scam

SOMERSET — Somerset Police Department is on the lookout for an individual involved in a theft and return scam at a local Home Depot, officials said Monday.

According to police, the suspect allegedly stole an item from the Home Depot and later returned it for a refund.

In a brazen second attempt, the man tried to steal another item but was thwarted by store staff before he could leave the premises.

The Somerset Police Department took to social media to share images of the suspect, urging the community to help identify the man believed to be involved in the incident.
