Montgomery driver hospitalized after car crashes into tree

MONTGOMERY — A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries yesterday after their vehicle struck a tree near 140 Carrington Road, according to the Russell-Montgomery Police Department.

Police responded to the accident at 4:22 p.m.

The first officer to arrive at the scene provided medical treatment until the Montgomery Fire Department and Hilltown Community Ambulance services arrived.

The driver, whose identity has not been released, was transported to Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by local authorities.
