Westminster crash leads to power outage for 155 customers

WESTMINSTER — A motor vehicle accident on Ellis Road early Tuesday morning resulted in a power outage affecting 155 customers, according to the Westminster Police Department and National Grid.

The outage, which occurred at approximately 7:05 a.m., is expected to last for about two hours.

National Grid is working to restore electricity to the area, which includes Ellis Road, Lake Drive West, Lake Drive East, Lake Drive, Partridge Hill Road, and Old County Road.

While no critical or high-profile facilities were reported affected, the outage may also impact neighboring streets.

National Grid has not provided a specific time for when power will be fully restored but estimates the duration of the outage to be approximately 2.17 hours.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed on the status of the outage by checking updates from the utility company and local authorities.
