Driver arrested for DUI drugs in Shaftsbury

SHAFTSBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a 26-year-old New York man for suspected driving under the influence of drugs after finding him slumped over the wheel on Twitchell Hill Rd.

Noah Corbett of Cambridge, NY, was taken into custody around 1:34 p.m. on May 7 following reports of a vehicle obstructing the roadway.

When troopers arrived, they discovered Corbett in the driver’s seat and determined he had been operating the vehicle while impaired.

A Drug Recognition Expert from the Winhall Police Department was called to assist with the investigation.

After screening, Corbett was arrested and brought to the Shaftsbury Barracks for further processing.

Corbett was issued a citation and released to appear in court at a future date, pending the results of toxicology tests.
