Westbrook police investigate overnight car burglaries, seek public’s help

WESTBROOK — The Westbrook Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance following a string of car burglaries that took place between the late hours of May 4 and the early morning of May 5.

The incidents occurred in the Reed Street and Bridgton Road areas, with several vehicles reportedly broken into.

Authorities are currently reviewing evidence and are in the process of determining the extent of the thefts and damages.

Detective Haskell of the Westbrook Police Department is leading the investigation and urges local residents to check their security footage for any suspicious activity or individuals that were present in the area during the time of the burglaries.

The police hope that community members may have captured video that could assist in identifying those responsible for the break-ins.
