Person shot in Hamden, drives self to police substation

HAMDEN — A person was shot near the intersection of Goodrich Street and Saint Mary Street in Hamden around 11:45 a.m. on May 7, according to reports from On Scene Media New Haven County.

The victim managed to drive themselves to a New Haven Police substation on Winchester Avenue following the shooting incident.

They were subsequently transported to the hospital by American Medical Response (AMR) for treatment of their injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim or the current condition.
