MONTVILLE — At approximately 4:53 p.m. on May 5, a woman entered the Dollar General store on Route 32 near Occum Lane and allegedly stole various items.
Montville Police Department has released surveillance footage showing the suspect walking around the store, filling up a basket, and then exiting the front door without paying for the merchandise.
The suspect was wearing a navy blue sweatshirt with the phrase “Sarcasm one of my many talents” printed on the front.
The method of transportation used by the female to arrive at the store is currently unknown.
According to Dollar General employees, this is not the first instance of the female stealing items from the store.
The Montville Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect, who was captured on video during the incident.
The community has previously played a significant role in helping the department identify suspects, and authorities are hopeful for continued support.
