Woman charged with DUI after single-vehicle crash in Townshend

TOWNSHEND — A 66-year-old Townshend woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Simpson Brook Rd, Vermont State Police reported.

Dorothy E. Griswold was taken into custody around 10:08 p.m. on May 4 after troopers responded to reports of a suspicious female in the area.

Upon arrival, authorities found Griswold and determined she showed signs of impairment during the interaction.

Griswold was involved in the crash prior to the troopers’ arrival.

She was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

After receiving a citation, Griswold was released and is due to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on May 21 at 8:30 a.m.
