Randolph man arrested on domestic assault charges

RANDOLPH — Vermont State Police arrested 57-year-old Robert Nelson for alleged domestic assault after responding to a call at approximately 7:15 p.m. on May 4.

According to authorities, an investigation at the scene concluded that Nelson had assaulted a family member in their Randolph residence.

Following the incident, Nelson was taken into custody and processed at the Royalton Barracks.

After processing, Nelson was released with a citation ordering him to appear in court to face the charges brought against him.

The Vermont State Police, adhering to their policy, did not release the name or details of the victim to protect their identity.
