HOOKSETT — A Hooksett man was arrested for driving under the influence after causing a three-car collision that left multiple people with non-life-threatening injuries on May 4.

At 7:23 p.m., Hooksett police officers responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of Mammoth Road and Castle Drive where a 2023 GMC pickup, driven by Brian O’Connor, 45, of Hooksett, crossed into the opposing lane and sideswiped a Honda sedan.

The pickup continued in the wrong direction, colliding head-on with a Toyota Rav4 at the intersection.

While the occupants of the Honda were unharmed, both the driver and passenger of the Rav4 were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

O’Connor also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was charged with DUI and reckless operation.

O’Connor was released on bail at the hospital with a scheduled court appearance on May 16 at the 6th Circuit Hooksett District Court.

The section of Mammoth Road from Golden Gate Drive to Hale Ave was closed for approximately two hours as emergency crews, including the Hooksett Fire Department, Candia Police Department, and AMR, managed the scene.
