ENFIELD — Police were called to the intersection of Lincoln Street and Alden Avenue early Friday morning after reports of gunfire.
At approximately 5:38 a.m., the Enfield Police Department received multiple calls regarding a shots fired incident.
Authorities arrived at the scene to investigate the disturbance in the residential area.
Officials have stated there is no immediate threat to the public, but the investigation is still ongoing.
In the meantime, law enforcement has cordoned off the area and is redirecting traffic away from Lincoln Street and Alden Avenue, as well as neighboring streets, to ensure the safety of residents and facilitate a thorough examination of the scene.
