JOHNSTON — At 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, Rhode Island State Police arrested 37-year-old Kayleigh Lagasse of Warwick for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, with a blood alcohol content significantly above the legal limit.

Lagasse, a resident of 137 Drum Rock Avenue, faces charges for her first offense of DUI with a B.A.C. of .15 or greater after troopers from the Scituate Barracks responded to reports of an erratic driver.

Tests recorded her blood alcohol levels at .200 during Phase I and .192 during Phase II, which are more than twice the legal limit in Rhode Island.

The arrest occurred following a motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Pike in the Town of Johnston.

After being taken into custody, Lagasse was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Headquarters for processing.

She was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and subsequently released to a responsible adult.
