MILFORD — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two individuals following separate but related incidents involving drug trafficking and a murder warrant.

On April 30, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Special Response Team executed a search warrant on Pine Street after weeks of investigation.

Authorities discovered illegal narcotics and evidence indicating drug distribution.

Tara Culpovich, 49, was apprehended at the scene and charged with Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs, a Felony Class B.

She was taken to Penobscot County Jail.

In a connected event on April 29, deputies observed 35-year-old Devon Holmes leaving the Pine Street location.

Holmes had an outstanding arrest warrant from New York City for murder.

He was later detained by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office on Wilson Street in Brewer.

The operations are part of an ongoing investigation.

As it is an active case, the Sheriff’s Office has stated they will not release further details at this time.
