Troopers make multiple arrests overnight in Providence area

PROVIDENCE — State Troopers conducted a series of arrests following routine traffic stops in Providence and Pawtucket, apprehending individuals on charges ranging from obstructing a police officer to larceny.

At 10:52 p.m., Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested Wanderson Perez Gomez, 28, of Providence, for obstructing a police officer.

The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Huntington Avenue in Providence.

Gomez was processed, arraigned, and released.

Hours later, at 12:34 a.m., Jamie Plouff, 41, of Pawtucket, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic simple assault issued by the Providence Police Department.

This arrest also followed a vehicle stop, this time on Randall Street in Pawtucket.

Plouff was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and handed over to Providence Police.

Shortly after, at 1:25 a.m., Alfonso Paolantonio, 33, of Lincoln, was detained on a fugitive from justice warrant from Attleboro, Massachusetts, for larceny.

The arrest was the result of a vehicle stop on Spruce Street in Providence.

Paolantonio is being held at the barracks pending arraignment.

Finally, at 1:48 a.m., Alesandra Chach Lucas, 31, of Taunton, Massachusetts, was arrested for driving without a license, her fourth or subsequent offense, and on an arrest warrant for obstructing a police officer and driving without a license, issued by the Hopkinton Police Department.

The arrest followed a vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in Providence.

Chach Lucas was processed and turned over to Hopkinton Police.
