Wickford man arrested on bench warrant for failure to appear

WICKFORD — At 7:30 a.m., State Troopers apprehended Adam Passano, 43, of Cranston, Rhode Island, on a Providence Superior Court full bench warrant for failing to appear on the original charge of obtaining property by false pretenses, which originated from the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest occurred following a traffic stop on Division Road in East Greenwich.

Passano, residing at 579 Park Avenue, Apartment #3, was processed at the Wickford Barracks and then conveyed to Providence Superior Court for arraignment.

Earlier, at 12:16 a.m., Troopers detained Chan Khunpasee, 31, of Providence, at 940 Chalkstone Avenue, Apartment #2.

Khunpasee faces an affidavit and arrest warrant for two counts of cocaine possession, a Schedule I to V controlled substance, from the South Kingstown Police Department.

Additionally, Khunpasee had an outstanding superior court full bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the initial charge of possessing more than 10 grams of a Schedule I to V controlled substance.
