Quincy police seize crack cocaine and fentanyl, Weymouth man arrested

QUINCY — Detectives from the Quincy Police Department Drug Control Unit (DCU) made a significant arrest yesterday afternoon following surveillance operations in the Montclair section of the city, resulting in the recovery of a substantial amount of crack cocaine and fentanyl.

The 31-year-old man from Weymouth was taken into custody and is facing charges including Manufacturing and Distribution of Class B substances, Manufacturing and Distribution of Class A substances, Trafficking in Cocaine, and Trafficking in more than 10 grams of Fentanyl.

Officials believe these seizures will greatly contribute to the safety of the community by preventing potential overdoses and other harms associated with the illegal narcotics trade.

The Quincy Police Department remains committed to drug interdiction efforts as part of their strategy to combat the adverse effects of illegal drug activities on local neighborhoods.
