Boston police arrest two on breaking and entering charges in Dorchester

BOSTON — Two suspects were arrested early Friday morning on charges of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the Dorchester area.

At about 1:30 a.m., officers from the Boston Police Department assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) took Samil Mejia, 39, and Nicolete Park, 29, both of Boston, into custody following a reported vehicle break-in at 45 Senator Bolling Circle.

The victim informed the officers that the incident had been captured on their home surveillance system, which allowed officers to broadcast a description of the suspects.

The police located Mejia and Park walking on Morton Street towards Harvard Street.

After stopping the two individuals and conducting further investigations, officers confirmed that both had active arrest warrants.

Mejia is facing charges for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the nighttime, receiving stolen property under $250, and trespassing.

He also had an outstanding warrant for breaking and entering a motor vehicle in the nighttime for a felony and larceny under $1,200.

Park was arrested and charged with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the nighttime, receiving stolen property, possession of burglarious tools, and trespassing.

Additionally, she had a warrant for larceny over $250.

Both Mejia and Park were arraigned in West Roxbury District Court following their arrests.
