Worcester man hospitalized after being shot, crashing vehicle into house

WORCESTER — Officers from the Worcester Police Department are investigating an incident that occurred on April 30, when a man suffering from a gunshot wound crashed his vehicle into a house on Paine Street at approximately 9:01 p.m.

Police were initially dispatched to the scene with reports of a vehicle collision.

On arrival, they discovered the male driver had been shot prior to the crash.

He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting and subsequent crash are under active investigation.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man or the severity of his injuries.
