BRAINTREE — Two workers were injured in an industrial accident at 575 Quincy Ave. this morning after a wheeled machine tipped over and struck a crane basket they were occupying.
Braintree Police Officers, along with Braintree Fire and Brewster Ambulance personnel, responded to the scene where a lull, a type of mobile lifting machine, fell onto its side and impacted the crane basket containing the two workers.
The injured, males aged 19 and 40 from New Hampshire, suffered serious but apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
Both workers were transported to Boston hospitals for treatment following the accident.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to determine the cause and whether any safety regulations were violated.
