SOUTH WINDSOR — A local woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of criminal mischief after being identified as the suspect who keyed a car in a supermarket parking lot.

Mimi L. Fluharty, 62, of South Windsor, was taken into custody by the South Windsor Police Department on an active arrest warrant.

According to police, the incident occurred in February at the Stop & Shop located at 1739 Ellington Road.

Authorities say surveillance video captured Fluharty in the act of vandalizing the victim’s vehicle.

Following the release of the footage, Fluharty reportedly turned herself in at police headquarters.

After being processed, Fluharty was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

She is expected to appear in Manchester Superior Court on May 15 at 9 a.m. to face the second-degree criminal mischief charge.
