Hopkinton police seek information on hit-and-run involving black dog

HOPKINTON — In a late evening incident, Hopkinton Police responded to a call at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Spring Street near Main Street where a black, large breed dog was reportedly struck by a vehicle.

According to authorities, the motorist involved in the accident stopped immediately and called 911 to report the incident.

Police officers, along with bystanders at the scene, searched the area but were unable to locate the dog.

The Hopkinton Police Department is now seeking assistance from the community.
