Driver seriously injured in I-93 rollover crash in Hooksett

HOOKSETT — A local resident sustained serious injuries after their vehicle rolled over and struck a tree off Interstate 93, New Hampshire State Police reported.

The incident occurred on April 30 at 7:48 p.m., when Troopers from the Troop B barracks were called to the northbound lanes of I-93 near mile marker 24.

Upon arrival, they found a gold 2000 Toyota Corolla that had veered off the right side of the highway and rolled multiple times before colliding with a tree.

The driver, later identified as 23-year-old Kristian M. Whittum of Hooksett, was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.

Whittum was transported to Elliot Hospital with serious injuries following the crash.

Authorities shut down several northbound lanes of I-93 for investigation and cleanup from about 8 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. The New Hampshire State Police were aided by the Hooksett Police Department and Hooksett Fire Rescue Department at the scene.

Investigation into all factors contributing to the crash is ongoing.
