Worcester police investigate fatal late-night crash

WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash on Southwest Cutoff at approximately 11:11 p.m. on April 29, involving a pickup truck and a tow truck.

Upon arrival, officers found the pickup truck with heavy damage and the driver trapped inside.

The 29-year-old male operator from Worcester was extricated from the vehicle and rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No other injuries were reported at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Worcester Police Department.
